CILICIA. Diocaesarea. Philip I, 244-249. Hexassarion (Bronze, 36 mm, 20.92 g, 7 h). AYT K M IOYΛIOC ΦΙΛΙΠΠOC CЄ/B Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. AΔΡΙANΩN ΔΙΟΚЄCAPЄΩΝ M-HTP KЄ/NN The city-goddess seated right, facing Tyche standing front, head to left, holding rudder in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; at feet, river-god swimming right. SNG Levante 676 var., SNG Paris 880-882 var. and Ziegler 391-3 var. (all with differing reverse legend arrangement). A large and impressive issue. Patina stripped, otherwise, very fine.
